SOUTH BEND - Adelle (Teague) Frye,
58, of Chaparral, N.M., formerly of South Bend, died at 9:30 p.m.
Thursday in William Beaumont Hospital, El Paso, Texas, after an
illness. Mrs. Frye was born March 8, 1937, in Kosciusko, Miss.,
and lived in South Bend until 1989.
She is survived by five daughters, Francine Long
of Chandler, Ariz., Lavon Hardin of South Bend, Vickie Jenkins
and Julie Cooper, both of Milwaukee and Anita White
of Chaparral; nine sons, Harry Reid Jr. and Thomas Frye,
both of Chaparral, Erskine Reid of Phoenix, Tyrone Reid of
Paducah, Ky., Robert Frye, Timothy Frye and Rodney Frye, all of
Michigan City, Brian Frye of San Deigo, and Steven Frye of Fort
Lauderdale, Fla.; 46 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; her
mother, Laura Teague of South Bend; three sisters, Carrie McKinney
and Mazell Williams, both of South Bend, and Willa
Jean Elkins of Indianapolis; and five brothers, T.J. Wilson
of Canton, Minn., Willie Teague and William Riley, both of
South Bend, Jessie Teague of St. Paul, Minn., and Fred Teague of
Little Rock, Ark. She was a member of Pilgrim Baptist Church.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the
church. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call
from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Alford's Mortuary.
