SOUTH BEND - Louis Freitag, 68, of Chicago, formerly of South Bend, died in his home Aug. 8 after an illness. Mr. Freitag retired in 1993 as a salesman in the mail order industry. He was born April 7, 1951, in South Bend, he married Magaret Moore. They were divorced. Surviving are four daughters, Mary Rammel of Evanston, Ill., Anne Annable and Lisa Freitag, both of South Bend, and Jane Lorenz of Danville, Ill.; three sons, Erik of Alameda, Calif., Paul of Springboro, Ohio, and Nicholas of Granger; 14 grandchildren; a sister, Betty Moon of Santa Barbara, Calif.; and a brother, Ronald Freitag of South Bend. A son, John H., died Dec. 22, 1970. He was a 1950 graduate of the University of Notre Dame.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Highland Cemetery. Cremation has taken place. Park Crematory, Park Forest, Ill., handled arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Bonaventure House, 825 Wellington, Chicago, or to Horizon Hospice of Chicago.

Cremation has taken place. Park Crematory, Park Forest, Ill., handled arrangements. Mr. Freitag was born April 5, 1927. On April 7, 1951, he married Margaret Moore.
