Frank J. Freitag, 72, of 4729 W. Parkway, died this morning in St. Joseph Hospital, Mishawaka. He retired from Northern Indiana Public Service Co. He was born Aug. 7, 1914, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. On July 20, 1940, in South Bend he married Pauline Koppy, who survives. Also surviving are five sisters, Mary Reiner, Ann Nagy, Josephine Chiszar, Minnie Takacs and Rose Nagy, all of South Bend; and two brothers, Joseph and Herman, both of South Bend.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Mary’s of the Assumption Catholic Church, and burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Zahoran Funeral Home, where the rosary will be said at 7 p.m. He was a member of the DFV German Club.
