Ruby C. Fredericks

SOUTH BEND - Ruby C. Fredericks, 82, of Parkovash Place, and formerly of Ostemo Place, died at 9:45 a.m. Friday in her home. Mrs. Fredericks was born May 2, 1913, in Kewanna, and lived in this area since 1952, coming from Rochester. On Oct. 8, 1932, in Hammond, as Ruby Wentzel, she married Frank A. Fredericks. He died Aug. 13, 1986. Surviving are a daughter, Cathy Williams of South Bend; a son, Philip J. of Mobile, Ala.; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Thelma Smith of Stevensville. She was a member of the rosary society of Holy Cross Catholic Church.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the church. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where a parish rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph County Hospice or the American Red Cross.
