SOUTH BEND - Dorothy A. Frame, 86,
residing at 1950 Ridgedale Road, formerly of 1120 E. Haney St.,
South Bend, Ind., passed away at 12:15 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 21,
in Ironwood Health and Rehabilitation Center, where she had been
a resident for the past three years. She was co-owner with her
husband of Orra S. Frame Plumbing and Heating Co. She was born on
Oct. 29, 1911, in Columbus, Ind., to the late George G. and
Bertha (Scott) Hurlock and had lived in South Bend
since 1928. She graduated from South Bend Central High School in
1931.
On June 25, 1937, in South Bend, she married
Orra S. Frame, who passed away on Sept. 10, 1996.
Mrs. Frame is survived by a daughter, Sammie
Buckles of South Bend; a son, Thomas R. Frame of Granger,
Ind.; five grandchildren, Troy Buckles of Chesterton, Ind., Shane
Buckles of Denver, Colo., Kelli Buckles of Lafayette, Ind.,
Patrick Frame of Springfield, Mass., and Dutch Frame of South
Bend; three great-grandchildren; and by a brother, Colton Hurlock
of Detroit, Mich. Mrs. Frame was a member of First Christian
Church of South Bend, a 50-year member of Order of Eastern Star
Chapter 569, 50-year member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Avalon
Grotto, 30-year member of Orak Shrine Auxiliary and Tuxedo Patrol
Auxiliary as well. She was also a member of Kappa Phi Sigma
Sorority for more than 60 years.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today
where members of Chapter 569 Order of Eastern Star will conduct
memorial services at 7 p.m. in the funeral Home. Services will be
at 10:30 a.m. on Monday in Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka
Ave. Burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery. Contributions may
be made in Mrs. Frame's memory to the Shriners Hospital for
Children, Chicago Unit, 2211 N. Oak Park Ave., Chicago, IL
60707-3392; or to the Alzheimer's Association.
