Wakarusa – Wayne M. Fox, 82, of 64734 Cedar Road, died at 10:35 p.m. Wednesday (May 30, 2001) at Elkhart General Hospital.

 Mr. Fox was born in LaGrange County on June 6, 1918, to Martin and Jenny (Wordinger) Fox

He graduated in 1936 from Madison High School and married Esther J. Wandel in St. Joseph County on July 30, 1944.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Dennis (Judith) White of Tacoma, Wash.; two sons, Thomas of Wakarusa and Paul of Bremen; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A brother, Warren is deceased.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and one hour before the service at 10:30 a.m. Monday, all at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret-Lienhart Funeral Home in Wakarusa. Pastor David Gruber of Oak Grove Missionary Church will officiate and burial will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery.

Mr. Fox, a retired farmer, worked as a school bus driver for 44 years. He was a member of the Farm Bureau and Oak Grove Missionary Church and a former adult leader in the St. Joseph County 4-H Club.

Memorials may be given to the church.
