Mrs. Hilda A. Fox, 84, of 1133 Lincoln Way E., died about 4:45 p.m. Monday in her home after a long illness. She was born in Madison Twp. on Jan. 23, 1898, and had remained a lifetime resident of this area. As Hilda A. Kiefer, she married Walter N. Fox in Madison Twp. on July 27, 1916, and he died on July 4, 1956 Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. George A. (Gladys) Gray and Mrs. Edward F. (Lucille) Kuszmaul, both of South Bend; four sons, Robert W., with whom she lived; Norris A. Fox of Stoughton, Wis.; Richard L. Fox of Phoenix and Marvin P. Fox of Memphis, Tenn.; 19 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Another son, Kenneth, died in 1974. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today in the Bubb Funeral Chapel. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Andrew's United Church of Christ. Max B. Hayden, D.M. will officiate, and burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. She was a member of St. Andrew's Church and many of its organizations, as well as many civic organizations.
