MISHAWAKA - Lillian B. Fowler, 83, of Mishawaka, passed away on
December 22nd, in the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, after
an extended illness. Lillian was born in Warren County, Tennessee
on February 6, 1926 to the late Clifford and Loretta (McWilliams)
Huggin. Lillian married Dallas W. Fowler on December 22, 1942 in
Corinth, Mississippi. He died February 3, 1990. She was a
seamstress who worked at Uniroyal before becoming self-employed.
She was a founding member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church. She
was preceded in death by two daughters; Carolyn S. Smith and
Geraldine Fowler. Lillian is survived by her son, Charles E.
Fowler, of Mishawaka, six grandchildren, Angela (Troy) Thompson,
of Niles, Michigan, Tracie (Matt) Brown, of Mississippi, Jessica
Figueroa of Mishawaka, David (Kim) Smith, of South Bend, and
Jason (Jessica) Fowler of South Bend. Her great grandchildren,
Rachael Osgood, Dennis Keefer, Mathew Colburn, Robert Keefer,
Anthony Matranglo, Ethan Fowler, Catlin Smith, Duane Thompson,
and Genivieve Weger. One great great granddaughter, Lillian
Grace. She is also survived by her sister, Frances Lawrence, of
Waynesboro, TN, and two brothers, Donald (Goldie) Martin, of
Livonia, MI, and James "Jimmy" Huggin, of Clarksville,
TN. Friends may visit with the family from 2 pm until 6 pm,
Sunday, December 27th, in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main
St., and one hour prior to the service in the church. Funeral
services celebrating Lillian's life will be held at 11 am,
Monday, December 28th, in the Lighthouse Baptist Church, 3050
Edison Rd., South Bend, with Pastor Robert Willhite officiating.
Burial is to follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Mishawaka.
