Walter A. Forsberg, 82, formerly of
22541 Adams, died at 8:40 a.m. Sunday in Healthwin Hospital after
a lengthy illness. He was retired from the Studebaker Corp.
in 1965 after 40 years employment. Born on June 7, 1899, in
South Bend, he had lived here all his life. On Oct. 3, 1925,
in South Bend, he married Margaret A. DeLong. She
died in 1965. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Gertrude Geyer
of South Bend; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a
brother, Edward of Austin, Tex.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday
in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William. Rev. Frederick
S. Wintle, pastor of the Central United Methodist Church, will
officiate. Entombment will be in Riverview Mausoleum.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the
funeral home. He was a member of the church, the Gideon
Bible Society, and had served as a chaplain at Healthwin Hospital
for 18 years. Memorial contributions may be made to the
Broadcast Fund of the church.
