SOUTH BEND - Mosetta (Blanton) Forrest, 73, passed away at
9:21 p.m. Thursday, April 17, 2008, in her home. Mosetta was born
October 26, 1934, in Chicago, IL, to George Clifford Blanton
and Lelia G. (Roberts-Carrie) Blanton, who preceded her in death.
She had been a lifelong resident of South Bend where she
graduated from John Adams High School. After graduation she
attended Indiana Business College. She became a legal secretary
to the Prosecutor. She remained at Brennan and Brennan Law School
for 16 years. Moe retired after 36 years at United Auto Workers
Local #5 as an administrative assistant.
She married William Edwin Forrest, who
preceded her in death. Mosetta's family who remain to celebrate
her life and memories are her daughter, Yvette (Fred) Forrest-White;
two grandchildren, Joshua Allen (Denesha) White and Lelia Chantell
(Donnie, Sr.) Gray; two great-grandchildren, Donnie Dior
Gray Jr. and Catherine Shawna White; and a host of family and
friends. The family would like to express their gratitude and
thanks to River of Life Family Church for 20 years of love and
devotion toward our family. The family would like to thank
everyone who has made the past few weeks easier with your love
and prayers.
The funeral liturgy will be celebrated at
noon Thursday, April 24, 2008, in River of Life Family Church,
530 E. Ireland Road, South Bend, IN. Burial will follow at
Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend, for those who are unable to
attend the funeral liturgy. Visitation will be held from 11:00
a.m. to noon Thursday in the church In lieu of flowers,
