SOUTH BEND - Marigrace Ellen Forrest, 83, of South Bend died in Regency Place of South Bend on Wednesday, November 5, surrounded by her family. She was born February 15, 1925 in Elkhart, IN, to the late John L. and Dora (Rookstool) Bickel and was a lifetime Michiana area resident. On December 24, 1943 in Elkhart as Marigrace E. Bickel she married Edwin W. Forrest, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Carolyn S. (Terrence) Voogd of Harford, MI and Ginny L. Forrest of South Bend; a son, James F. Forrest of South Bend; six grandchildren, Teri Sue (Jason) Hunt, Elizabeth (Jason) Terakedis, Amy (James) Talcott, Katie (Scott) Spadafore, Ellen Forrest, and Melanie Forrest; seven great-grandchildren, Evan and Ethan Hunt, Kara Grace Terakedis, Justin and Ashley Talcott, and Grayce and Grant Spadafore; a sister, Doris Erb of Elkhart. Marigrace retired in 1980 as the secretary for Trucut Tool and Supply which was the family business. She devoted her life and love to her family. She was always there when her husband, children, grandchildren or great-grandchildren needed her. Marigrace was a happy, kind, sweet, fun-loving woman who loved "a little sippin" and snackin when friends got together. Her husband of 65 years lost his life's partner; her children lost a wonderful mother. She will be greatly missed.
