Helen N. (Pietraszewski) Ford, 62, of N. 29th Street, died on Sunday night, Feb. 25, in her home.

Helen retired from the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center as a nursing assistant for 17 years, and donated time working in the Voters Registration. She was born on April 1, 1938, in South Bend, Ind., to Roman and Helen (Strzelecki) Pietraszewski, who preceded her in death.

A loving mother of five children, Debbie Lou Jane Fitterling of Osceola, Ind., Mary Helen Boits of Lakeville, Ind., Vicki Lynn Ford of Bradenton, Fla., Danny Rae Ford and Michael Joe Ford, both of South Bend; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Zane and Danny Ford, both of South Bend.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:15 p.m. on Thursday in Little Flower Catholic Church. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday in the HICKEY Funeral Home, 17131 Cleveland Road. Helen was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, 319 S. Main Street, South Bend, IN 46601.
