Lester N. Fondell
March 31, 1915 - October 6, 1983
Lester N. Fondell, 68, of 1518 Keller St.,
died at 7:54am Thursday at Memorial Hospital after a lengthy
illness. He was retired from Drewry's Ltd brewery and the
South Bend Department of Parks.
Born on March 31, 1915, in Dubuque IA, he
lived in South Bend for forty years, coming from Dubuque. His
wife, the former Rose Papai, died in 1957. He is survived by two
sons, Robert J. M. Fondell of South Bend and Richard Fondell of
Dubuque; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Donna Bragg of Florida and Mrs.
Betty Holcomb of Mishawaka; five grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs.
Leona Schlosser and Mrs. Stella Cook, both of Dubuque; and two
brothers, Andrew of Dubuque, and Paul of Florida.
Friends may call from 1 to 5pm Sunday in the
Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St.

Funeral Notes
Services for Lester N. Fondell, 68, of 1518
Keller, who died 7:45am Thursday in Memorial Hospital after a six
month illness, will be at 1pm Monday in the Welsheimer
Funeral Home, 521 N. William, with Rev. Charles Lavely, CSC,
associate pastor of Holy Cross Catholic Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.

funeral home.
