Sister Teresa
Marie CSC, 64, died Sunday morning in St. Mary’s
Convent. She was born on July 12, 1908 in Chicago, and as Marie
Teresa Follman entered the Sisters of the Holy Cross at
St. Mary’s on July 2, 1936 coming from Chicago. She made her
profession of vows on Feb. 2, 1939. She taught in the elementary
schools in South Bend, East Chicago, Laporte, Plymouth,
Valparaiso, Chicago and Flint, Mich., including St. Joseph and
St. Patrick’s in South Bend from 1939 to 1949. She had
resided in the convent since June of this year.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the
Church of Our Lady of Loretto with burial in Our Lady of Peace
Cemetery on the campus. Friends may call in the convent parlor,
where the rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today.
