SOUTH BEND - Brother Richard Foley, CSC, 71, died Tuesday in Dujarie House, Notre Dame. Brother Richard was born June 12, 1924, in Minneapolis. He entered the Brothers of Holy Cross on Aug. 15, 1947; made temporary profession on Aug. 16, 1948; and pronounced his final vows on Aug. 16, 1951. He began his apostolic ministry at Sacred Heart Juniorate in the office of Associates of St. Joseph and served on the school staff; served for 20 years at Archbishop Hoban High School; and retired from the staff of Gilmour Academy, Gates Mills, Ohio. He is survived by two brothers, James of Minneapolis and Edward of King City, Calif.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Holy Cross Brothers House. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery at the Brothers Center. Friends may call two hours before services in Holy Cross Brothers House. Hickey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
