Mrs. Mary C. Foerster

May 20, 1890 – March 21, 1978

Mrs. Mary Christina Foerster, 87, of 2821 Jamestown Ct. S.; died at 2pm Tuesday in the Fountainview Place Nursing Home after a tow year illness.

She was born on May 20, 1890, in Cass County MI, and had lived in this area all her life.  She and her husband operated the former Melrose Confectionery in Mishawaka for many years.  As Mary C. Diltz, she married Edward Foerster in Mishawaka on September 17, 1912.  He died in 1955.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Fred (Dorothy) Trippel of Mishawaka, Mrs. Marcel (Mary) VanDamme of Fort Wayne, Mrs. Worthy (Marjorie) Rowe of South Bend and Mrs. George (Jacqueline) Carter, Jr. of Indianapolis; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm Thursday in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, and from 10am until services at 11am Friday in the Apostolic Temple, South Bend.  Bishop Worthy Rowe, pastor, will officiate, assisted by Rev. David Rowe, associate pastor.  Burial will be in St Joseph Valley Memorial Park.
