MISHAWAKA - Carl L. Fluckey Jr., 87, of Clovis, NM, died Monday,
August 23, 2010, at All-Care Assisted Living in Clovis.
Visitation at Muffley Funeral Home was held Wednesday, August 25,
2010, from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Closed casket services will be
held at 6:00 PM today, August 26, 2010, at The Chapel, 1500
Thornton, with Pastor Glenda Horner officiating. Burial will
follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM. Carl was
born July 17, 1923, to Lester and Daisy (Fuller) Fluckey in St.
Joseph County, IN. He served in the US Navy during World
War II. He married Carmen L. Cox on April 3, 1946, in
Mishawaka, IN, and they came to Clovis in 1963. He was the
co-owner of Custom Woodworks, Inc., and attended Bethel Assembly
of God Church. Carl enjoyed fishing and woodworking. Survivors
include his son, Dr. James Fluckey, and his wife, Terri of
College Station, TX; two daughters, Karen Peters and husband, Ron
of Mesa, AZ, and Susan Rogers and husband, Dennis of Clovis, NM;
a sister, Mary Shirley and husband, Max of Lakeville, IN; seven
grandchildren, Janell Rogers, Carolyn Reid and husband, Jerry,
Stefanie DiQuattro, Erin Bondra and husband, Dennis, Marc Peters,
Aliea Fluckey and Courtney Fluckey; and 12 great-grandchildren,
Derek, David, Dylan, Brianna, Kristopher, Chase, Caleb, Zavier,
Jaxon, Madison, Colin and Leigh. He was preceded in death by his
parents, Lester and Daisy, and by his wife, Carmen Fluckey.
