SOUTH BEND - Duane Roger Flint, better known as
"Jelly," 75, of South Bend, IN, entered into eternity
on January 23, 2010, in the Ironwood Rehabilitation Nursing
Facility of South Bend. Duane was born October 31, 1934, to the
late Walter Flint and Valma Harris Flint in Niles, MI. Duane was
educated and a graduate of the Niles Community School
Corporation. For many years, Duane owned and operated Jelly's Bar
in South Bend. Duane leaves to cherish his loving memory his
loving wife, Rubye Flint; sons, Ruben and Kevin; future
daughter-in-law, Mary Jo Richie; grandchildren, Thomas and Laila
Katherine; great-grandchild, MyNysha; special godson, Lee Miller;
sisters, Beverly (Austin) Flint and Sharon (Hill) Flint;
brothers, Richard Flint, Eugene Flint and Jerry Flint; special
niece, Vikki Flint; very special and devoted friends, Huey
Schoby, Troy Tucker, Al Carothers, Shirley Carothers and Ashley
Carothers; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces,
great-nephews, many other relatives and friends. Preceding him in
death were his parents; daughter, Tracey Flint; brothers, Walter
Flint Jr. (Joe) and William Flint; sister, Kathyrn Flint (Finley)
and Shirley Flint (Bryant). Services for Mr. Duane R. Flint will
be Thursday, January 28, 2010, in the Clark-O'Neal Funeral Home,
2702 Lincoln Way West; visitation 11:00 a.m. and funeral services
at noon. The Clark O'Neal Funeral Home has been entrusted with
the arrangements.
