Donna R. Flint

Donna; R. Flint, 66, residing on Craig Road, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 7:18 p.m. Monday, Nov.15, in Memorial Hospital of South Bend.
She was born July 15, 1938, in Cleveland, Ohio, as the daughter of Fritz W. and Elizabeth (Peters) Nieman, and had lived in South Bend since 1960, coming from Cleveland.
At 15 years old, Donna joined the USO and traveled to Europe with the "Radio.. Nannagons". Donna's life was, dedicated to the arts and teaching children in dance.
She and Jerry spent more than four years in a professional career in entertaining.
When the Flints came to South Bend in 1960, Donna and her husband Jerry established Flint Dance Studio. She was affectionately known as "Miss Donna."
She became involved in the Service Guild, and through this served as a volunteer teacher at Logan Center. Donna was adjunct faculty of Indiana University of South Bend where she instructed dance through the School of Music.
She managed and choreographed with Michiana Opera Guild, was founder of "Three to Get Ready" Theatre Camp, and choreographed Liturgical Dancing with many churches "in the South Bend area
She was a member of the
South Bertd Jaycees, worked
with fundraisers for the
Alzheimer's Association, and
choreographed for
Presbyterian Players, and the South Bend Civic Theatre. She and Jerry, also worked with the school musicals with the South Bend Community School Corp. She performed the Tap Dance Concerto With the South Bend Pops Orchestra and the South Bend Symphony.
She has been a member of Grace United Methodist Church since 1960, where she served on the Worship
Committee, and was a former
member of the Chancel Choir.
On Feb. 15, 1958, in Cleveland. Ohio, as Donna Nieman, she married Jerry W. Flint. She is survived by her loving husband, Jerry of, 46 years, along with three daughters, Sheri (Chris) Gordon of South Bend, Sheila Snyder of Earlville, N.Y., and Vicki (Richard) Johnson, of Mishawaka; a son, Danny Flint of South Bend; and six grandchildren whom she adored. Dustin Tyte, Halie Gordon, Christopher Gordon, Elijah Flint, Samantha Snyder and Abigail Johnson.
Services for Mrs. Flint will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, in Grace United Methodist Church. Rev. Hosea Drake will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday in the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St. South Bend, and one hour prior to services Saturday in the church.
