SOUTH BEND - Mr. Arnold Percy Flack, was born January 19, 1943,
to the late Ernest and Effie Roby Flack in Gary, Indiana. He was
the second child born to this union. He accepted Jesus Christ as
his Lord and Savior at an early age. He attended Tolleston Senior
High until the time he enlisted with the Unites States Navy. In
1991 Flack met soul mate Angela Gillette, and in 1994 they were
joined together in holy matrimony. They relocated to South Bend,
Indiana. Together they pursued their entrepreneurial spirit and
became successful business owners of a New Beginning Hair Salon
and Mom & Pops Candy store. He continued his dream career
working at Gates Chevy World where he was known as
"Cadillac" and "Ole School." He loved to
dress and was proud of his many colorful suites and hats. He
loved to socialize with his many friends and family members.
Arnold's call to the new life came on Friday, July 30, 2010,
after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer. He was
preceded in death by his father and mother; stepfather, Walter
Davis; brother, Vernon Flack; and sisters, Marva Flack and Vivian
Davis. He leaves to cherish his loving memory his faithful and
devoted wife, Angela Flack; a sister, Bonita Davis of Houston,
TX; two daughters, Cynthia Pierce and Crystal Donald (Leonard
Lax); mother-in-law, Dorothy (Arnell) Brady; an uncle, Claude
Roby; an aunt, Velma Davis, all of Gary, IN; a special niece,
LaShawn (Arthur) Carruthers; two grandsons, Bryan (Diane) Norwood
of South Bend, IN, and Monte' Emanuel of Pittsburgh, PA; four
granddaughters, LaShonte and Keisha Emanuel, Amber and Kaylia
Gilliam; a great-grandson, Quinton White II, all of South Bend;
IN; five sisters-in-law, Kathryn (Ernes) Gill of Gary, IN, Cheryl
Gillette of South Bend, IN, Almarie Dixon, Helestein (Joey)
Yeldell, Alverne Butler, all of Montgomery, Alabama; four
brothers-in-law, Allan (Latha) Gillette of Augusta, Georgia,
Alvin (Alicia) Dixon, Alphonso (Chrisann) Dixon and Alvertis
Dixon, all of Montgomery, Alabama; two very special friends,
Jerry (Maryann) Lewis of Gary, IN, and Sandra (Terry) Donaldson;
an adopted son, Lorenzo Davis of South Bend, IN; and a host of
nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family would
like to extend a special Thank You to the nurses and staff at
Memorial Hospital Hematology and Oncology Department. Services
for Mr. Flack will be Friday, Aug. 6, 2010, in the Greater St.
John M.B. Church, 101 N. Adams St. Visitation noon and funeral
services will be at 1 p.m. The Clark-O'Neal Funeral Home has been
