SOUTH BEND - Rev. Thomas M. Fitzpatrick, CSC, 87, of Holy Cross House, died Saturday in his residence. Rev. Fitzpatrick was born Aug. 10, 1907, in St. Louis.

He entered the Novitiate of the Congregation of Holy Cross on July 1, 1925, at the University of Notre Dame; made his perpetual profession of vows July 2, 1931; and was ordained to the priesthood June 24, 1935. For the first 24 years of his priesthood he served at the Foreign Mission Society, Washington, D.C., as director of the foreign mission society; from 1961-1987, was associate pastor of St. Francis Xavier Parish in Burbank, Calif.; and served with the visitation ministry at St. Joseph Parish, South Bend, until 1991.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Sacred Heart Basilica. Burial will be in Community Cemetery. Friends may call after 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in Moreau Seminar. Hickey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
