SOUTH BEND - Maxine Fitterling, 91, of Pembroke Pines, FL, formerly of N. Redington Beach, FL, and South Bend, IN, passed away on May 2, 2010. Married to Homer Fitterling for over 50 years and widowed since 1990, they will now be together again forever. In the trucking business for many years, then collecting antique cars and memorabilia, the Fitterlings may be best known for the buffalo they raised for many years on their farm on SR 2. Survived by her devoted daughter, Linda (Randy) Mills, and grandson, Justin of Pembroke Pines, FL, daughter, Sharon Huckins of N. Redington Beach, FL, daughter, Joan Fitterling (Dwight Joshick) of Indian Rocks Beach, FL, and granddaughter, Jennifer Cecil (Spencer) of South Bend, grandson, Jeff (Stacy) Huckins of Carmel, IN, and two great-grandchildren, Leann Cecil and Berke Huckins. In memory, donations may be made to your local hospice or to the Alzheimer's Association Maxine was laid to rest next to her beloved husband Homer in Serenity Gardens, Largo, FL, on May 13, 2010. www.
