Mishawaka – Layafette R. Fisher, 74, father of Mrs. Paul Vogler, Mrs. William Engel and Mrs. Clifford Harris, all of Mishawaka, and resident of this city for 22 years, died early today in the Vogler residence, 733 E. Third Street.
He was born Aug. 10, 1857 in Paulding County, Ohio and 47 years ago was married to Mary Watkins, who died in February, 1930. They moved her 22 years ago from Oakwood, Ohio. Survivors are six daughters and one son; Mrs. Roy Moody, Dresden, Ohio; Miss Aline Fisher, South Bend; Mrs. Engel, Mrs. Vogler and Mrs. Harris, city, and Mrs. Elba France, Columbus, Ohio, and Kay W. Fisher, Antwerp, Ohio.
The body may be viewed in the Thallemer mortuary until the hour of the service, which will be conducted from there at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
