Joan Marie Fisher, 67, of South Bend,
was called to heaven on July 1, after a long brave struggle with
illness. She is remembered by family and friends as a devoted
wife and loving mother. Joan touched many lives with her warmth,
wit and cheerfulness. Joan opened her heart and home to all who
met her.
She and Jim, her husband of 49 years,
wintered in Kissimmee, Fla. and spent summers at Harwood Lake
near Three Rivers, Mich. Joan is survived by her husband, James
E. Fisher, her mother, Mary Graham of Shamrock Gardens in
South Bend, Ind., daughters Susan Roscher of Wilmington,
N.C., Sally Potts of Granger, Ind., son, Michael Fisher of
Marcellus, Mich., and six grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family would
appreciate donations to Hospice of St. Joseph County which
provided compassionate services to Joan and her family. The
family will be receiving friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday
at the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St., where a
family eulogy will be given at 7 p.m.
