Emma M. Fisher
Jan. 30, 1928 -- June 13, 2003
Emma M. Fisher, 75, of Coldwater, Mich., passed away on Friday, June 13, in Community Health Center of Branch County.
She was born Jan. 30, 1928, in Mishawaka, Ind., to Charles Bolin and Leila (Stocker) Bolin.
On Aug. 28, 1955, in Mishawaka, Ind., she married William Fisher. Survivors include her husband, Bill; two daughters, Sharon (Dan) Whitman of Leslie, Mich., and Maryann Fisher of Coldwater; a son, Terry (Deb) Fisher of Battle Creek, Mich.; three brothers, Harry (Evelyn) Bolin of Mishawaka, George (Dorothy) Bolin of South Bend, Ind., and Art (Barb) Bolin of Mishawaka; three sisters, Lelia (Larry) Williams of Osceola, Ind., Shirley Dhaeze of South Bend and Beulah Swenk of Mishawaka; grandchildren, Autumn (Jeff) Nelson of Lansing, Mich., Wesley Whitman of Leslie, and Nicole and Alisha Fisher of Battle Creek; and several nieces, nephews and granddogs.
Mrs. Fisher was a devoted mother and homemaker. Emma had lived in the Coldwater area for the past 39 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Coldwater. She loved being a mom and was very active with her children and their involvement in Campfire Girls and the Boy Scouts. She also enjoyed gardening, putting puzzles together, and listening to country music.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. today, June 15, in the Dutcher Funeral Home, Coldwater. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home, 440 W. Chicago St., with Dr. James Troust of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. A private burial will be held at Sorter Cemetery following the services.
