Mrs. Ethel G. Fickes, 87, of Willoughby, Ohio, formerly of South Bend, died early Tuesday in the Richmond Heights [Ohio] General Hospital, after a brief illness.  She was born on November 11, 1892, in South Bend, and had lived here most of her life.  Her first husband, Albert Detling, preceded her in death.  Her second husband, Jesse Fickes, also preceded her in death.  Surviving are a son, Miles, of Willoughby; three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Friends May call from 7 to 9 PM today in the Davis Funeral Home, Willoughby.  Graveside services will be at 10 AM Friday in Highland Cemetery in South Bend.
