Matthew Ferrettie

Matthew Ferrettie, 86, of 325 W. 6^th St., died at 1 p.m. Tuesday in his residence.  He was born in Picentia, Italy, on Dec. 23, 1882, and came from that country to Mishawaka where he had lived since 1892.  In 1947 he retired from Uniroyal Inc. after 48 years of employment.  Mr. Ferrettie married Elizabeth Kelly in St. Joseph’s Church in May 9, 1910.  She died in 1942.  Surviving are a son, Raymond Ferrettie, with whom he lived; a daughter, Mrs. Joseph A. Michele of Mishawaka and a grandchild.  He was a member of S. Joseph’s Church.  Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home where arrangements are being completed.

Friends of Matthew Ferrettie, 86, of 325 W 6^th St., who died Tuesday, may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home.  Services will be conducted at 9 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph’s Church by Very Rev. Msgr. Curt A. Suelzer, pastor, and burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.  The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
