Jamarr Allen Ferguson, 12-year- old son of Yolanda Wright and George Ferguson, was killed on Tuesday, March 7, in his residence on East Bowman Street, South Bend, Ind. Jamarr was born in South Bend on July 2, 1987. He was a 6th grade student at Lincoln Elementary School. He was also a member of the Boys and Girls Club where he played on the basketball team. His hobby was shooting pool, and he had a special love for school and his cousins.
Loving family members who will cherish his memory include his parents, Yolanda Wright and George (Anita) Ferguson of South Bend; four sisters, Jahkayla Hardricts of South Bend, Doris Kyzer and Tracey Ferguson, both of Benton Harbor, Mich., and Kim Ferguson of Detroit, Mich.; two brothers, Joseph Green of South Bend and Leonard Campbell of Needleville, Mo.; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, along with other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gladys and Edward Wright; aunt, Barbara Brown; and by an uncle, Gary Wright.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Monday in the Emmanuel Church of Deliverance, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery.
