SOUTH BEND - Hattie ''Dorothy'' Ferguson, 77, of South Logan Street, died at 9:55 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Hospital after being struck by a car on U.S. 31 S. Mrs. Ferguson was born July 26, 1918, in Mishawaka. On Dec. 28, 1945, in Mishawaka, as Hattie Slaybaugh, she married Floyd E. Ferguson Jr. He survives with two daughters, Sue E. Grasso of Fort Wayne and Mary Ann Lau of Ocala, Fla.; four grandchildren; a sister, Esther Clayton of Mishawaka; and three brothers, Echo Slaybaugh of Elkhart and Billy and James Slaybaugh, both of South Bend. She was a member of Recovery Inc.
There will be no services or visitation. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Bubb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Bubb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Among the survivors are a sister, Mary L. Yaciw of Mishawaka; and three brothers, E.C. Slabaugh of Elkhart and Bill E. Slabaugh and James C. Slabaugh, both of South Bend.
