Nathan T. Faurote
Nathan T.
Faurote, aged 90, nearly all of his life a resident of St. Joseph county, died
at the home of his son, George L. Faurote, 606 South Fifth street, Niles, Mich.,
Wednesday night. The funeral will be held at the residence at 1p.m. Saturday.
Mr. Faurote was born in 1827 and came to St. Joseph county in 1841. In 1862 he
enlisted for service in the civil war and fought with the 73rd Indiana
volunteers. At the completion of his term of service he returned to this county
and resided here until 1906 when he went to Niles to make his home with his son.
Mr. Faurote is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Henry Luther of Hudson lake. Mr.
Faurote enjoyed a wide acquaintance in northern Indiana and southern Michigan
and as long as his health permitted was a regular attendant at the reunions of
his old regiment.
