SOUTH BEND – Miss Ruth Farrell, 34, of 1214 S. Marietta Street, died at 10:55 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Hospital after an illness of several weeks. Born in South Bend on June 24, 1924, she was a lifetime resident. She had been an employee of the South Bend Park Department.

Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Mary Farrell; five brothers, Richard, William, Francis and Charles, all of South Bend, and Roy, of Elkhart; four sisters, Mrs. Kenneth Gollatz and Mrs. Stanley Burzynski, both of South Bend, and Mrs. George Tekker and Mrs. Joseph DeNeve, both of Mishawaka.

Friends may call after 7 p.m. today in the Orvis Funeral Home. Services will be conducted there by Edward W. Bruseke, pastor of Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church, at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
