SOUTH BEND - Bruce A. Farling, 45, of Whispering Pines Nursing Home, Valparaiso, formerly of South Bend, died Thursday in the nursing home after an illness. Mr. Farling was employed until 1992 by Bethlehem Steel as a steelworker. He was born Feb. 3, 1950, in South Bend.
He is survived by his parents, Mercedes and William Santa of South Bend; four sisters, Roxanne Farling Cohn, Paulette Bertman and Patty Kobalski, all of South Bend, and Mary Thomas of Niles; and four brothers, Bill Santa, Ken Santa and Ron Santa, all of South Bend, and Paul Santa of New Carlisle. He was a graduate of Central High School and a Navy veteran.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. (CST) Saturday in Moeller Funeral Home, Valparaiso. Friends may call one hour before services in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Indiana Chapter.
