Mary Farkas, 90, of 22564 Indiana 23, formerly of 2215 S. Morris St., died Friday afternoon in St. Joseph’s Medical Center. She was born Feb. 20, 1894, in Bukovica, Yugoslavia, and lived in this country for 62 years, coming from Yugoslavia. On Nov. 8, 1924, in South Bend, she married Frank Farkas. He died Sept. 9, 1984. She is survived by three daughters, Mary Paczkowski, Helen Nyari and Josephine Horwarth, all of South Bend; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Agnes Wagner and Julia Farkas, both of Hungary.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Zahoran Funeral Home.
