James Farkas
James (Jim) Farkas, Broadway Hotel,
died unexpectedly in Memorial Hospital at 1:20 p.m. Wednesday. He
was born in Hungary July 28, 1894, and came to South Bend when he
was 17. He worked for the Parrish Machine Co. Surviving are his
step-father, James Hagie, of Flint, Mich.; a son, James D., of Coral
Gables, Fla.; a grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. Daniel Kesz,
of Flint, and Miss Thelma Hagie, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.,
and two brothers, Walter E. Hagie, of Venice, Fla., and Jay
Hagie, of Flint. Friends may call in the Nemeth Funeral Home
after 1 p.m. today. The body will be taken Friday to the
Algoe-Gundy Funeral Home in Flint where funeral services will be
held Saturday afternoon. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
