OSCEOLA - Richard L. Fairchild, 60, of 10603 Fenner Lane,
Osceola, Indiana, passed away at 7:40 p.m. Saturday, May 1, 2010,
in Elkhart General Hospital. He was born on February 17, 1950, in
South Bend, Indiana, to the late Harold and Irene (Bennett)
Fairchild. On October 18, 1975, he married Diane (Landy)
Fairchild, who survives. Also surviving are his daughter, Tracie
(Jeremy) Lehman of Elkhart, Indiana; son, Brian (Joy) Fairchild
of Mishawaka, Indiana; sister, Linda Smead of Rudolph, Ohio; and
grandchildren, Candice Partlow, Madeline Abshire, Sidney Lehman,
Maxwell Lehman, Kegan Lehman and Kain Fairchild. Richard worked
in sales. He was employed at Trailer Town, Elkhart, for 10 years
and was the former owner/operator of Main Street Antiques,
Nappanee. He was also the former owner/operator of Fairchild
Printing, Nappanee. Richard was a 1968 graduate of Nappanee High
School, and was a former member of the Plymouth Corvette Club and
Nappanee Tri-County Auto Club. His hobbies included collecting
cars and motorcycles; he was an outgoing individual who enjoyed
life to its fullest. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday,
May 5, 2010, in Reith-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 117 W. Waterford
St., Wakarusa, Indiana, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m.
Thursday, May 6, 2010. Burial will be at St. Joseph Valley
Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Pet Refuge,
