Brother Bertrand Fach CSC, 83, died Monday in Holy Cross House on the campus of the University of Notre Dame. He had been ill since 1953. He was born Jan. 9, 1883 in Louisville, Ky. And entered the novitiate of the Brothers of Holy Cross in 1927, making his final profession of vows on June 22. 1931. From 1928 to 1944 he served at the Holy Cross Foreign Mission Seminary, Washington DC; from 1944 to 1945 he was at the University of Portland, Ore.; from 1945 to 1946 at St. Joseph Novitiate, Rolling Prairie, and from 1946 tp 1953 he was stationed at Corby Hall at Notre Dame.

Friends may call at the Corby Hall chapel on the campus after 5 p.m. today. The office of the dead and services will be held at Sacred Heart Church on the campus, and burial will be in Community Cemetery there.
