SOUTH BEND - Sophia Evenson, 84, of
South Bend, IN, passed away November 18, 2008, in her residence.
Born April 15, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Pete and
Maria Kotsifas, who preceded her in death along with her
husband, Larry Evenson, and her brother, Jim Kotsifas. She is
survived by her nephew, Jim Kladis of South Bend;
great-nephew, Nick (Julianna) Kladis of South Bend; great-niece,
Zoe (Fernando Munoz) Kladis of Granger; and her
great-great-nephew, Gus Kalogeropoulos of Granger. Sophia
loved spending time with her family. She will be remembered as
being very intelligent, her love of Greek television, and for
being the co-owner of Sophia's Lunch, which was in Kalamazoo, MI.
Friends may call today, Nov. 20, from 5-8 p.m. in the McGann Hay, University Chapel, Edison Road, where a prayer vigil will be held at 6:30 p.m. Private burial will be held at Highland Cemetery later.
