Herman Esch died in his home at 511 S. Scott Street, Tuesday evening at 10:40 o’clock after a two years’ illness, aged 57 years, eight months and five days. He was born in Germany Oct. 5, 1850, and came to this city from that country 25 years ago. He is survived by the following children; Gustav, William, Edward, Bertha and Paul, all of South Bend. A brother, Reinhoel Esch, and a sister Mrs. Johanna Renfranz also survive him.
