Rose C. Ermeti, 93, of Mishawaka, passed peacefully in her
sleep on June 10, 2006.
Rose was born to Agostino and Carolina Alessandri on June 14, 1912, in Cesana, Italy. As a young child she traveled to America and made Mishawaka her lifelong home.
On January 10, 1929, in Mishawaka, she
married Frank Ermeti and had two sons, Carl and Richard Dick,
all of whom have preceded her in death. She was also preceded in
death by her siblings, Josephina Paluzzi, Edith Sacchini
and Leo Malo Alessandri.
Rose is survived by one sister, Marie Wozniak
of Littleton, Colorado. Celebrating her memories are seven
grandchildren, Lisa (Howard) Hull of Zionsville, Ind.,
Frank A. (Lori) Ermeti, Susan K. Ermeti, Carl Ermeti, Sara Ermeti
and Kristin Ermeti, all of Mishawaka, and Richard Scott
(Malu) Ermeti of Redondo Beach, Calif. Rose had three
great-grandchildren, Emily (Jason) Duhn of Zionsville,
Ind., Mehlo and Shayia Ermeti of Redondo Beach; and one
daughter-in-law, Rita Ermeti of Mishawaka.
Rose worked for the former Ball Band Company
(Uniroyal) in Mishawaka for fifteen years. Rose and her husband
Frank were tavern owners in Mishawaka the (331 Inn) for many
years and later retired to spend their winters in Jensen Beach,
Fla. Rose was known for her storytelling, her wonderful cooking
and her generosity, but most importantly for her love for her
family and friends. She was very proud that she could be at home
for 93 years where her family and friends would visit her.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 13 in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday
June 14, in the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow
at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park Mausoleum.
