MISHAWAKA - Rudolph Eric Erickson, 95, of 11793 E. Jefferson Road, died at 11:30 p.m. Friday in his home of an illness. Mr. Erickson retired as the owner and operator of Rudy's Garage in 1964 after 40 years of service, and was also a bus driver for the former Kennedy School. He was born April 29, 1898, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident.

On March 1, 1924, in St. Joseph, he married Sabina Ethel Yeider. She survives with three daughters, Gloria Takace, Louise Zehrung and Marjorie Hoge, all of Mishawaka; two sons, Victor and Don, both of Mishawaka; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was a member of St. Mark Missionary Church.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the church. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in Warner Funeral Home, Osceola, and one hour before services Tuesday in the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the church or Hospice of St. Joseph County.
