Sister Mary Florent CSC, 86, of Saint Mary’s Convent, died at 1:10 p.m. Friday in the convent. She was born Feb. 8, 1885 in Arkow, Ireland, and came to the United States from Kilkenny, Ireland. As Alice Ennis she entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross on Sept. 17, 1905, and made her profession of vows on Aug. 15, 1908. She had been a music teacher in Washington DC, Utah, Texas and California. She had resided at St. Mary’s Convent since 1964.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday in St. Mary’s Convent parlors. Services will be at 10 a.m. in the Church of Our Lady of Loretto, with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in the convent chapel.
