SOUTH BEND - Services for Carl A. Engstrom, 66, of Eckman Street, who died at 10:13 p.m. Wednesday in Ironwood Health & Rehabilitation Center after an illness, will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Calvary Temple Church. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home.
Mr. Engstrom retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a mail carrier and in 1983 from R & R Regulator as a supervisor. He was born Aug. 28, 1927, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.
On May 19, 1951, in South Bend, he married Ruth ``Jo'' Swisher. She survives with three daughters, Karen Wisniewski of Bloomington, Ind., Jan Enyeart of South Bend, and Betty Jones of Coral Springs, Fla.; four grandchildren; and a brother, Rev. Edward of Anderson, Ind. He was a member of the church, National Association of Letter Carriers, and a veteran of World War II.
