Charles Embick, aged 79, of 213 N. Francis Street, died in his home Thursday afternoon after two days illness with a heart ailment. He was born in Lebanon, Pa. Jan. 8, 1860, and came here when he was eight. He was married here in 1891 to Johanna Braunsdorf, who survives. He was for 57 years a foreman for the Singer Manufacturing Company. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs Helen Skees, at home, and Mrs. Mary Boyer, of Oklahoma, and a sister in Holstead, Kan.
Friends will be received in the residence after 6 p.m. today and the funeral will take place there at 10 a.m. Saturday. Rev. Waldemar Goffeney, pastor of Zion Evangelical & Reformed church will officiate and interment will be in Highland Cemetery.
