Lyle "Mickie" Ellsworth,
73, of Battles Road, South Bend, passed away at 4:45 PM Sunday,
April 23, 2006, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical, South Bend.
"Mickie" was born on June 30, 1932, in Osceola, as the
son of the late Dewey and Thelma (Murphy) Ellsworth. He
was also preceded in death by six brothers, Bob, Dewey, Carl,
Bill, Dick and Ronnie, and two sisters, Alice and Barbara.
He is survived by three brothers, George
(Mary) Ellsworth of Mishawaka, Jerry (Sandy) Ellsworth of
Mishawaka and Jimmy (Margie) Ellsworth of Elkhart. He is also
survived by two sisters, Betty Glaum of Mason, AZ, and
Shirley Lane of South Bend.
"Mickie" was well-known for joyful
spirit and his outgoing personality. He never met a stranger,
just a friend he had not known. He was a hard-working person who
was admired by all who knew him. "Mickie" will be
greatly missed and fondly remembered.
Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, April 26, in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. Funeral service will take place on Thursday at 1:00 PM in the Hahn Funeral Home, with Rev. Erv Mize officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
