Warren James Eller of Dragoon Trail,
Osceola, Ind., died at 9:20 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 7. Warren, a
beloved father and grandfather, was a lifelong area dairy farmer.
He was a 1938 graduate of Mishawaka High School, was active in
local politics for many years, and was also a member of the
Osceola Methodist Church for 75 years. Warren never
"retired," continuing to manage the day-to-day
operations of the family farm until just weeks ago, as he had for
over 60 years. His work ethic and values have certainly been an
inspiration to us all. He was preceded in death by his father,
Clint in 1942, at which time he took over operations of the
family farm.
A year later, he married the former Ruth
Miller, who preceded him in death on Sept. 6, 1980. Together they
raised three children, James "Jim" and Mark, both of
Osceola, and Jolene (Plummer) of Mishawaka, Ind. Warren is
survived by three grandchildren, Jameson "Jamie" Eller,
and Jason and Kelsey Plummer, all of Mishawaka. Warren's longtime
companion, Evelyn Canfield of Mishawaka, is also left to honor
his memory.
Warren's viewing will be from 2 to 4 and 6
to 8 p.m. today, Nov. 10, in Zimmerman-Inman Funeral Home,
Osceola. His funeral will be held the next day at 10 a.m. in the
funeral home. Burial will take place at the Osceola Cemetery on
Ash Road. Memorial contributions may be made to Osceola United
Methodist Church.
