Willis W. Elkins  

LAPORTE - Willis W. Elkins, 75, of Miller's Merry Manor, New Carlisle, formerly of 1752 E. County Road 350 N., LaPorte, died at 11:12 p.m. Wednesday in the nursing home. Mr. Elkins was a machinist at Allis-Chalmers Corp. for 37 years. He was born Oct. 29, 1912, in LaPorte. On Oct. 29, 1936, in LaPorte, he married Margaret L. Zellers. She survives with three daughters, Yvonne Dopieralski of Hudson Lake, Betty Schimel of Kentucky and Tinia McCullough of Rolling Prairie; two sons, Jeff of Rolling Prairie and Ferris of Hudson Lake; 17 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. He was a member of Rolling Prairie Christian Church.   Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Haverstock Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rolling Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
