Dorothy E. Elkins, 95, of South St. Joseph St., passed away Monday, May 20, 2002, at Memorial Hospital.

Dorothy was born on February 9, 1907 to the late Stewart and Marion Misener in Ypsilanti, Mich.

Living her most of her life, Dorothy was employed as a secretary at Shippers Dispatch and also a McNamara Freight. During her career, she was voted Secretary of the year several times. Dorothy retired in 1970.

She enjoyed being a Bridge Club member, she belonged to the Secretary Club. In her free time, Dorothy Knitted and was a member of TOPS.

Dorothy is survived by her nephew Rick (Anne) Dainelli of South Bend and a niece Chris (Hank) Siroky of Sidney, Australia and 5 grand nieces and nephews and 3 great grand nieces and nephews.

Calling for Dorothy will be Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3718 S. Michigan St.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Memorial Cemetery.

Memorial in Dorothy's name may be directed to the American Lung Association.
