Obituary: Mrs. George Eley.
Mrs. Sarah Helen Eley, age 69, of 1934 East Ewing avenue, died
this morning at 10:30 o'clock after an 11 months' illness.
She was born in Marshall county, Indiana, April 13, 1859, and
came to South Bend 15 years ago from Lakeville, this
county. Her marriage to George Eley, who survives, took
place in May, 1880. She is also survived by the following
children; George Eley, Jr., at home; Mrs. Armina Wilter, Mrs.
Hattie Kimble, Mrs. Grace Hale, Mrs. Cora Shupert, Calvin,
Joseph, Vernon, and John Eley, all of this city; and three
sisters, Mrs. Minnie Evans and Mrs. Alice Perry, of South Bend;
Mrs. Effie Martsolf, of Michigan City, and Mrs. Anna Wyatt of
Chicago. The body may be viewed in the residence from noon
Saturday until 1 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Prayer
services will be held in the home Monday afternoon at 3:30 at 4
o'clock in Stull Memorial Methodist Episcopal church, the Rev. S.
Sprang, of the Church of God, of LaPaz, Ind., officiating.
Burial will be in Highland cemetery. Source: South

Funeral Notes:
Prayer services for Mrs. George Eley, who died Friday, will be
held Monday aternoon at 3:30 o'clock in the residence of 1934
East Ewing avenue, and at 4 o'clock the funeral will be held in
Stull Memorial Methodist Episcopal church, the Rev. S. Strang, of
the Church of God in Lapaz, Ind., officiating. Burial will
