Services for Robert S. Eikenberry, 84, of Napoleon Boulevard, who died July 24 in Lake Placid, N.Y., will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in McGann Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call two hours before services on Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Camp Tamarack in care of Boy Scouts of America Northern Indiana Council, 1433 Northside Blvd., South Bend.
Mr. Eikenberry retired in 1975 from the University of Notre Dame as professor of aerospace engineering and was instrumental in wind tunnel research at Notre Dame.
He was born Aug 26, 1908 in St. Louis and lived in South Bend since 1938. He is survived by several cousins.
He was a former member of Sunnyside Presbyterian Church, a former Scout leader, received the Silver Beaver Award, was co-founder of Camp Tamarack, a member of Indiana Chapter of Nature Conservancy, was Smithsonian Associate of the Smithsonian Institute, and a member of the National Geographic Society.
