Stanley Dale Ehret, 60, of 727 S.
Washington Street, Bremen, died at 7:20 a.m. at Veterans
Hospital, Marion, following an illness of 2 ½ years.
A lathe operator for 27 years at the
Torrington Company in South Bend, he was born July 22, 1920 in
Cass County, Mich. He had been a Bremen resident for 35 years
coming from the Wyatt area.
He was married May 11, 1946 in Bremen to
Rosemary Bauer who survives with four daughters, Mrs. Kim
(Sherry) Bon Durant, Mrs. Marty (Connie) Huber and
Mrs. John (Bonnie) Stoller, all of Bremen, and Mrs. Jerry
(Kay) Dalton, Lake of the Woods, near Bremen; two
grandchildren and one step-grandchild; his mother, Mrs. Irene
Ehret, LaGrange. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. C. S. (Joy)
Brineman, Deli, India, and Mrs. Don (Joyce) Strahl
of Elkhart, and two brothers, Carl of Kendallville, and Lowell of
Las Vegas, Nev.
Friends may call after 4:30 p.m. Friday at
the Mishler Funeral Home where services will be at 10 a.m.
Saturday. The Rev. Earl Owen of Grace United Methodist Church
will officiate. Burial will be in Bremen Cemetery. He was a
member of the church, Otho B. Place American Legion Post 191, VFW
Post 8972, both of Bremen, and DAV chapter, South Bend. He was a
World War II veteran. Memorials may be made to the Bremen
Community Hospital.
